DEPARTMENT OF TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (DTCP)

In the last 3 years

• Master Plans for 06 Cities / Towns have been provisionally approved by Government.
• Master Plans for 07 Cities / Towns have been finally approved by Government.
• Local Planning Area for 09 Cities / Towns have been declared by Government.
• The Department is furnishing technical opinion to revenue authorities in the matter of conversion of agricultural lands to non-agricultural  purposes. The Department has finished technical opinion in 12546    cases referred by Revenue Department.
• The Department has technically approved 5426 Layout plans received from the general public, organization, statutory  authorities / boards and has forwarded the same to the concerned Local Bodies / Authorities for implementation.
• The work of preparation of original maps using modern technology in various cities and towns is being taken up in this Department in coordination with KUIDFC with financial assistance from World Bank and Asian Development Bank under KMR/NKUSIP.

    Completed  Projects:

• Mapping of Tumkur Town at scale 1:2000  using  Aerial photographs  was completed through Survey of India.
• Mapping of  Hassan Town at scale 1:5000 using Satellite image at scale 1:5000 is  completed through KSRSAC.
• Mapping of Karwar using aerial photographs at scale 1:2000   is completed  through KSRSAC
• The mapping at scale of 1:500 for Hassan by survey using total station is completed through M/s SECON Surveys. The maps have been sent to Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India for Security vetting.
• Under the Government of India funded NUIS Scheme, mapping of 6 towns in state is completed.
• The map preparation work in 6 towns of the State is completed under NUIS with Centre and State Governments partnership.
• The work of original maps preparation using Satellite images for planning area in 29 different towns/cities has been taken up in 4 phases.  In the first phase map preparation works is completed in 11 towns through outsource from M/s.N.K.Buildcon and is submitted to Ministry of Defence, Government of India for security clearance.
• In the second phase map preparation work in 5 towns using satellite images through outsource from M/s.Genesys is completed and sent to Ministry of Defence and obtained security clearance for 4 towns.
•  Under KMRP, in the 3^rd phase map preparation work in 10 towns using satellite images through outsource from M/s.Theovel is completed and sent to Ministry of Defence and obtained security clearance for 6 towns.
• Under NKUSIP in the 3^rd phase of map preparation, using satellite work in 4 towns is completed through outsource from M/s.Genesys and sent to Ministry of Defence and obtained security clearance for 1 town.

On going projects:

• Under NKUSIP 1^st phase, the preparation of map using aerial images for 10 towns has been outsourced to M/s.Genesys. Map preparation work in 4 towns is completed and sent to Ministry of Defence and obtained security clearance for 1 town.  The map preparation work in the balance town is under progress.
• In the 2^nd phase of NKUSIP, the preparation of map using aerial images for 3 towns has been outsourced to M/s.Navayuga and the work is under progress.
