Development Works should maintain Transparency and Quality

Kaup; Nov.18:  Udupi district in charge Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake said that instructions have been given to maintain transparency and quality in the development works undertaken in the district and that instructions have been given to display the full details of all the works, names of contractors and address in the initial name boards of the works.

He spoke after inaugurating the  stone laying ceremony of various works in the limits of Udyavara Gram Panchayat on Nov.17 and conducting the programme to distribute the facilities from various departments at the Billava Mahajana Seva Sangha at Udyavara.

Sanction of Rs.7.7 Crores has already been given in the limits of Udyavara GP and the Udyavara GP is committed to fulfill all the demands of public stage by stage and Development is the core Mantra of the Government-he said.

Thinking of expansion of Udyavara GP: Already proposal has been submitted to the Government for including Udyavara GP in the Udupi Corporation and that will be discussed at the next Cabinet meeting and it will soon be included. Later, more development works will be undertaken by the Urban Development, he added.

Thinking of distribution of ration to APL also:
Government is committed towards the welfare of poor people through Anna Bhagya project and it has been decided to distribute ration to APL card holders also. The amendment and sanction application of the public which was pending since many years are being disposed off through Revenue Adalat and Pension Adalat and it is decided to provide milk to school children, five days a week. He said that the loan being given to the Sthree Shakti Organizations has been enhanced to Rs.3 Lakhs and the Cyclical fund has been increased to Rs. 20,000.

Udyavara GP President Vijay Kumar Udyavara presided over the function. TP Vice President Ganesh Kumar, GP member Diwakar Kundar, Kote GP President Prashanth Jathanna, TP member Girish Kumar, GP Vice President Kusuma, Kaup Block Congress North division President Sudhir Hegde were present. Udupi Tahsildar Guruprasad welcomed. GP internal auditor Ramanand proposed vote of thanks.
